Since then accept been getting a lot of sharp shooting pains at the base of my womb [and then suppose that would get in my neck...] just lasting a couple of seconds, just encarmine painful. She also said i may have SPD... hoping its just babi sat on a nervus....
Has anyone else been through this. or could give me some advice as worrying slightly =[

Mine'due south been headdown since most 25 weeks so it's normal. Can't help with teh hurting though, maybe a trapped nerve ?

thanks =] I was worrying it was waaaay to early on for him to be head down, have u had any issues with babi behind head downward so early?

all the pictures in the NHS book have the baby head downward from WEEKS ago. Mine was head downwards at 28 calendar week browse, think that's perfectly normal - and we want it to stay that way up! I estimate y'all might be thinking it's bad in example claret runs to head, but i don't think it works like that?

Null to worry about if the caput is downward - think they ordinarily terminate up that style up quite early cos the head is the heaviest function of the infant

Mine was head downwardly at 28 weeks too... but has flipped to transverse... eek! Hopefully still time to flip back (31 wks now)

There is no trouble at all with baby being head downwardly, simply the chances are they volition movement around quite a lot betwixt now and birth, all quite normal and so no need to worry. I'd say the pains were not in your cervix, merely either babe on a nervus or stretching pains from ligaments accomodating your growing womb (once more very normal). It may well be SPD, in which case I hope your midwife has given you tips on reducing it's severity and perhaps a referral to a physio? If you take the money I would recommend an osteopath or chiropractor for SPD pain (if that is what it is).
Are you concerned about premature labour?

thank you everyone, reikizen, she has sent a letter to the physio at my local hosp and I am waiting for an appointment through the postal service, but she said it could be a good few weeks earlier I hear anything, so am more than concerned if it is SPD, I might be doing more than impairment than good as I don't know how to suit to information technology as midwife didn't give me whatever tips apart from don't cross my legs :Due south. I am slightly concerned about premature labour, but I'm more than worried about doing damage to babi past doing something I'k non supposed to =[

Yes, mine was head down around then - best place for it. Now its bloody breech at 34 weeks, and then don't bank on it staying where it is. I but promise it goes back to head downwardly over again.

Am pretty sure mine has shuffled into head down in the last couple of days (25 weeks), actually uncomfortable with huge whacks coming out both sides of my abdomen (felt like he was moving furniture in at that place!) and then all over and much more comfortable, bump has shifted slightly downwardly off my ribs as well.

Amend early than late!

Apparently ninety% of babies are head down by 28 weeks co-ordinate to the Queen Charlotte'due south Hospital pregancy book, and then you lot're exactly on schedule smile

Mine was transverse till 20 weeks, then flipped ninety degrees in the incorrect direction to footling breech position! shock Happily he/she has now turned and is head down only it took till 31+4 for that to happen!

With you on the sharp shooting pains - owwww. That's another one of those things that no-one tells you nigh pregnancy isn't information technology! [hmmm]

Nikki87 Mon 30-Nov-09 17:59:12

showofhands that phrase is perfect, exactly how they experience! lol.
morloth I'yard sure mine was moving home equally well, and I'm sure movements are supposed to calm downward now considering there is less room?! i'm sure mines moving more!

and thanks every1 for all your replies, it was really calmed me down a little, its only cause a few on my friends are pregnant and at similar times, but not caput down I was worrying
